Marshall Pass

Off on our next adventure, we went over Marshall Pass on our way to Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

This is the remnants of an old building that was part of the Denver and Rio Grande narrow gauge railroad.  The line over this pass was the first railroad to cross the continental divide in Colorado and connected Salt Lake City to Denver.  Now the old rail bed makes a nice drive for a car.

Como Colorado

The sleepy little town of Como, Colorado once was a railroad hub on the Denver, South Park, and Pacific Railroad.  After the trains pulled out in the 1930s, nothing much else has happened here since.
