Second Night in the Campervan

Our campervan found some friends on our second night on the road.  Because of all the recent rain, the few campers had to be crowded together on this bit of gravel.  Had we parked in the grass, we might still be trying to dig the campervan out.

Just across the road was a pretty little bay and the sea.

Kapowairua Beach

Kristen and I took our plucky little campervan down a dirt and gravel road to Kapowairua Beach after visiting the northern most point of the North Island.  It made for a good lunch spot and relaxation point.

What’s up, New Zealand?

That movie has a panorama of the beach.

Tasty Cheese and other things in a tortilla.  Excellent lunch!

Kristen is way more relaxed about being in New Zealand than me.

Cape Reinga

On our way to the end of the world on New Zealand’s north island.

The lighthouse at the edge of forever.

It was incredibly windy.

The maelstrom where the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean meet.

Earlier when I said it was windy, I was serious!
