This Ksar sits southeast of Tataouine on one of the side roads. this place is really impressive. Some scenes from StarWars Episode I were shot here. This Ksar has been recently discovered by the Land Rover convoys and is being fixed up to be ready for more in the coming years.

Toujane. It’s a beautiful town.
Yup, that’s right! That’s a Roman road! It climbs right up through Toujane and up over the mountain. That thing is still in pretty good shape considering it’s close to 2000 years old.

We drove along the edge of the Great Sand Sea near Douz. Camels were plentiful as was the endless sea of sand stretching south to the horizon.
