Based on the recommendation of a friend, Sean and I found ourselves at the opening night of Trek in the Park. Yes, it is live-action Star Trek. Yes, it is incredibly awesome.
That’s the mayor of Portland, Sam Adams, reading a proclamation that July is Trek in the Park month.
LOTS of people showed up for opening night.
The re-enacted episode was Mirror, Mirror.

Sean and I walked through the Mississippi Street Fair last weekend. It was absolutely crazy how many people were out and about enjoying all of the booths and beverages. The road is full of people far into the distance.
As part of our time in Portland last weekend, Sean and I visited several breweries across town. The list of beers consumed follows. S stands for Sean and D for Douglas. Each S or D represents one pint consumed. The high percentage beers were in goblets or other smaller glasses.
