Driving Across the Golden Gate Bridge to Tiburon

On our way to Angel Island, we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge.  I never get tired of driving across it.

Large herds of Girl Scouts were crossing the bridge.  There must be a jamboree in town.

A ways north of the bridge we came upon an accident.  It appears that a bicycle fell off of a car.  A car following behind swerved into a truck and made a mess on the road.  Didn’t appear anyone was too gravely injured.

Giants vs Rockies: Fear the Beard!

After a rather eventful flight to Oakland, I met up with Sean and Katie for a Giants game.  This was my first time in AT&T Park.

The place was packed.

We had pretty good seats on the first level.

The Beard came out onto the field to close out the game.  FEAR THE BEARD!

The Giants had a walk-off win.

I should note that there was an EPIC Muni fail on our way back to Sean and Katie’s apartment.  We waited nearly an hour until an N showed up to take us out to the west side of the city.  Someone needs to fix Muni in a bad way.

San Francisco Weekend

Having been driven mad by the insanity that is Los Angeles, I decided to go to San Francisco for the weekend to visit Sean, Katie, and Jennifer.  The yucky sick feeling and constant sweating of Los Angeles was soon replaced with the cool glory of clean and foggy San Francisco.  Two days later I headed back south to the misery of LA.

I chose a chocolate maple bar with cream filling.  They put in a bunch of hot white sticky cream while I waited.0724092332

Tension wheels.  They keep the cables taut.  They’re setup on local springs to keep constant tension on the cables.  As the cables stretch past the local spring limits, the wheel assemblies are moved further away from the engines.

OMG FOGPOCALYPSE!

IMG_7524

We decided to go up to Twin Peaks to check out the fog.  San Francisco is just through the fog bank.

It was even raining a little at the top of the mountain.

I was very happy to be in the fog!
