Sea otters, sea lions, and a wee little bird

Another sea lion pup looking real cute.

Pretty sure this is Plucky, our favorite sea otter.

Sea lions and cormorants at Breakwater

There was a pile of cute sea lion pups hanging out down by the Coast Guard area today.

Just look how snugly they are!
One little pup wanted to join the pile but the top of the pup pile didn’t want him to join.
Tranquility restored to the pup pile.
The cormorants are nesting all over the end of the pier.
We hadn’t noticed the blue on these cormorants earlier in the year.

Pretty birds!

The Night Heron Returns

Our friendly local night heron has returned to the harbor side of the Coast Guard Jetty at Breakwater. This little winged dinosaur likes to hunt where the water is pretty clear and lots of little fish hide out.
This pup decided to cuddle up to a big bull on the jetty rocks.
