Evening Otters at San Carlos Beach

All of our otter friends were out and about this evening!

There was a decent swell out of the west that made for some interesting water across the rocks.
Splashy water.

Looking for her pup.

Mom and pup back together. The pup is starting to get ready to leave mom.
Omnomnomnom!

Gotta eat those muscles to stay strong!

An otter eating a fat innkeeper worm

We saw a sea otter eating a fat innkeeper worm today at Breakwater. We’ve seen them digging underwater for the worm before but this is the first time that we’ve seen them eating one.
