We stopped in for an afternoon stroll through downtown Jacksonville. It is a gorgeous old historical frontier town.
The J’Ville Tavern. We Tried to go inside but accidentally walked into a wake. One would think they would put up a sign or something to indicate that a wake was in progress.
Lots of beautiful old brick buildings. Jacksonville is one big historic district.
Some really interesting window art.
Modern businesses occupy old businesses.

We stopped for a couple of beers in the Boomtown Saloon.
I believe that is Mt. McLoughlin in the distance.
