Poofy and Oliver continued their hijinks in January. Poofy has really come to love catnip but does not love going to the vet. Sunny’s painting that Heather made several years ago watches over the other cats. Oliver continues to want to be best friends with Poofy but Poofy continues to not want to be acquaintances. We’ve been letting Poofy outside more to walk around in our downstairs garden area.
Saying Goodbye to Sunny
Today we said goodbye to Heather’s fur baby, Sunny. He had been in decline for the last couple of years with several ailments. But he hung on and was happy until the very end. We wish Sunny could have enjoyed more time on the new patio in the sun but he got at least some sunny days before the end.
A Fasciation on a Succulent, an Orchid Blooms, the Cats Settle in
We found a HUGE fasciation on a succulent down the road from our new house. These are rare and they’re exceptionally rare at this size.
The orchid that we’ve had forever decided to randomly bloom. I started fertilizing it recently so that must have kickstarted it into production.
Our Christmas Cactus also decided to bloom. We had quite a few flowers!
Sunny, Poofy, and Oliver continue to adapt to their new home.
