Grampians National Park

Past Horsham the expedition encountered the odd geologic formation of the Grampians.

The winding, mountain roads were a high risk for cyclists.

Yet another vehicle that the expedition could have had the misfortune of acquiring.

Peat moss must be upstream.

Horsham

The expedition overnighted on the outskirts of Horsham on the way to the Great Southern Ocean.

Internet was found at the local Mc Donalds where important expedition business was conducted.

South to the Ocean

Leaving Silverton and Broken Hill behind, the expedition struck out for the Southern Ocean.

Yet another vast expanse of nothing greeted the expedition.

Finally, as if out of a mirage, the Darling River appeared.

Shortly thereafter the expedition crossed the Murray River.

The song was appropriate for the riverine communities along the Murray’s banks.

Further south, the lush countryside of Victoria spread before the expedition.

Storm clouds on the horizon.
