In Christmas Valley there is a strange forest that is isolated from other trees anywhere nearby. This place is known as the Lost Forest.
Lake Abert
After picking up a much improved Zach and Vera, we traveled north past the eastern shore of Lake Abert.

Viva Lakeview!
While Zach did his best to pretend he wasn’t miserable while laying on the grass in a city park due to his illness, Heather and I explored the little town of Lakeview. The Safeway has a great custom sign. I’ve never seen another Safeway to have such a thing.
This is the park in which Zach and Vera took up residence for a period while Zach worked on feeling better. Alas, he did not feel better until late that night. Zach and Vera decided to stay in a hotel in Lakeview while Heather and I continued on to points unknown.
The Lakeview Burger Queen Drive-In has outstanding milkshakes.
The only movie theater in town closes on major holidays so that the employees can take a break.
