Leland Sheppard’s Trip Report

Hi Coasters,

The 12th Pacific Coasts on the Pacific Coast Highway ride is in the books.

We did the southern route this year, from Eureka, California to San Clemente, California.

The trip was largely uneventful this year. The weather was cool but near perfect.

The only problem was the amount of time it took us to get from Oxnard to San Clemente on Friday. The traffic was bad enough and slow enough that it made me decide to eliminate the Friday leg from future southern route events. We will, henceforth, end the ride on Thursday in Lompoc. If I can come up with an interesting local ride, I will propose that for Fridays in the future.
