Leland Sheppard’s Partial Trip Report

Saturday:

Art Steinbach from Redding, California, Dave Misunas from Santa Cruz, California, Kevin Selby from ???, South Africa and Revill Dunn from Austin, Texas all arrived on Saturday. The 5 of us had dinner at Mel’s Diner in Placerville. We were seated next to a family with a couple of screaming kids but, fortunately, they left soon after we arrived. Off to a good start for the ride.

Sunday:

The five of us took off on the Sunday side ride up into the Sierras. This ride consists of roads with a total of close to 1600 corners. It’s fun. We stopped for lunch at Worton’s in Forest Hill before heading back for Cameron Park and the motel. Fun roads, perfect weather. The stretch between Wentworth Springs Road and Mosquito Ridge Road had had some improvements. Less broken pavement every time we take this route.

Sunday afternoon the northwestern contingent arrived.

Monday…
